Bibliography preparation
Given either a listing or the original items, Jared can prepare bibliographies in any standard or house style.
Cataloging
Jared has worked as a cataloger with a number of private and institutional collections. He is familiar with industry standards for the description of printed materials from incunabula to modern ephemera, and has experience working with both collectors and libraries to identify appropriate cataloging systems and workflows.
Catalog preparation
In addition to his experience with the technical aspects of cataloging, Jared has experience with the preparation of printed catalogs for both private collectors and booksellers. If you are looking for something less expensive than a hand-formatted catalog, he is able to automatically produce a printed catalog from cataloging records for a nominal fee.
Indexing
Jared offers back-of-the-book indexing services, as well as article-level indexing.
Tutoring
Jared offers one-on-one and small group tutoring in a variety of technology and library-related subjects. He has recently taught units on library database searching, introductory computer science, and practical XML, among other subjects.
